Frosty and Friends, Stormstown Edition!
It was morning, and we knew more rain was coming. There was still a bit of snow on the ground, and suddenly, there was my husband, standing there on the front porch with a small snowman he'd made, sitting on a green tray. Maybe I'd like to finish him up by adding some stuff, and then take some photos?
Well, of course, you know what came next. I found a snowman nose (that kept falling off!), and I grabbed a pair of dichroic glass earrings from my collection to serve as his eyes. I'll bet you this is the first blue-eyed snowman you've ever seen!
And then I got a black hat (that was actually T. Tiger's, but he's always good about sharing!), and when I put it on his head, the snowman began to dance around! I brought out the Moose, Tiny Tiger, and the Anteater to join the party.
So here was the festive scene on our front porch on this morning: just four fast friends, celebrating the day! And what is the special occasion, you might ask? Well, for me, it's THIRTEEN YEARS of blipping! Every photo was posted on the day it was taken, with not a day missed!
It is my tradition to include a daily soundtrack song with each posting. Today's is Jimmy Durante, with Frosty. I'm also adding Elton John, with Blue Eyes; it came out in March 1982, the year I graduated from high school in spring and went off to college in fall. :-)
