Bodiam castle

Another rainy and grey day.  We visited Bodiam castle in the morning.  We were the only visitors for the first 30 minutes or so and we took advantage of the solitude to do silly things with dressing up props, a cut out photo board and some hand bells that were probably aimed at smaller visitors. 
We went on to Hastings and pottered around in the rain. I bought new walking socks to replace the holey pair I'd brought with me and we found a couple of presents for my great nephews. 
Hastings castle was a big disappointment. The Wikipedia entry did say that most of it has fallen into the English Channel over the years.
