Bridge no more

The exceptional rainfall of October 7th 2023 damaged lots of things, including the bridge at Baile Mor at the head of Loch Striven, and I blipped the temporary replacement that eventually went into place a year ago.

A new bridge was promised for April 2024, but that target was missed.   Now it is meant to be in place by the end of March next year, and over the past few weeks Argyll and Bute Council have been demolishing the old, unsafe, one.   Today's picture is therefore of an absence - the bridge has now gone, the concrete and rock that made it up has been crushed on site as can be seen in my extra photo and now we wait to see if the new one will be there as promised.
