Craig Yr Aderyn
Plus seasonal lake!
A lovely day and a lovely last walk with C and the Megs to a favourite spot, the bench overlooking the Dysynni and Criag Yr Aderyn, (Bird Rock.) A thousand years ago or so, the sea used to come as far as Craig Yr Aderyn which is now almost seven miles inland. The land along the Dysynni is still very low lying and often floods in winter. This, just a small part of the huge expanse of water, is all flooded grazing land.
After the walk I stopped in at Jamie's for a pancake lunch and took him shopping afterwards. There's a lot of cleaning up going on after the storm, up the railway many tress are down while in town is rubbish from bins blown over and a few rooves to repair including where Jamie lives where a few slates have come down. I gathered the contents of someone's recycling bins from the grass outside his flat.
I called in at pottery to look at the assorted things bisque fired at the weekend and had a long chat with a fellow potter who happened to be there too. A quiet evening at home .... if you discount the background music from Bellowhead and others!
