The season is open

Although there is very little snow, the Sierra Nevada ski resort has just opened and on clear nights, like today, the lights of the buildings and the slopes can be seen in the distance.

I think the skiers are saying: 'We are here, waiting for the snow to fall!'
The weather forecasts snow for Wednesday, so they won't have to wait much.
