Window with a view
This is in the prestigious vineyard area of Burgundy. Many old villages spread over the rolling hills with names that stand for famous wine brands: Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Clos Vougeot..
In Brochon, you can visit this extravagant castle that dates back to the XIX century. It belonged to Gaston Liegeard, a politician and scholar, who wrote books and poetry. Since we are in a region known as 'Côte d'Or' near Dijon, he is the man, who gave the French Riviera its current name: 'Côte d'Azur' as he had a property in Cannes and wrote a novel with this title.
Visiting the castle, I took todays's blip through a stained-glass window overlooking the park, the surrounding vineyards and this aisle of the building.
I chose this picture because I'm always looking for a different angle and another perspective.
