Snow on the Crieff and Loch Earn Hills...
An early rise for breakfast at Broadslap Farm Shop cafe.
Delicious brioche French toast with bacon and maple syrup for me and Eggs Benedict for D with this stunning view to the hills above Crieff. I will never be able to express how much I love living in Perthshire. It takes my breath away every time I step out the door.
From there we headed to the The Artisan Exhibition at The Bield, Blackruthven. Today was the final day of a nine-day exhibition/fair featuring the beautiful work of over 20 artists and makers. This is the third year we've gone and I think this was the best yet.
Two years ago we bought our beautiful Green Man and although we didn't spend quite as much today, I could have bankrupted us! So many beautiful things....paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewellery, stone carvings, glass art, furniture to name a few...it was a feast for the senses.
Drove home the back roads and soaked in the beautiful scenery. Such a lovely morning. The light was amazing. Of course I didn't have the big camera with me. Changed days. I used to travel everywhere with my camera on my lap.
Got home just after midday and it was a quick change for D as he and the rest of his singing group were singing at an outdoor Christmas Fayre at Kilsyth.
Inspired by all the amazing art work I'd seen this morning, I spent the afternoon in the studio and finally got the pen drawings for N's two little boys on to watercolour paper. So far so good! I was hoping to start painting them tomorrow but I've just looked at the diary and it will be Wednesday at the earliest before I get the chance.
