Got back to H's at 12pm and very glad to see from her text that she had had a good and trouble free journey to the airport and got checked in OK for her flight at 1pm.

It's now 5pm at H's and there's still no power.  So glad to have the log burner which I've nurtured and it's now doing its thing beautifully, so after taking a very reluctant wee dog for a wee walk in the still windy and cold conditions we'll just have to light the candles again, hunker down, have interesting conversation??  miss strictly for the second night :-(( and drink wine possibly.  Probably not though as we may go out again in search of food if I don't  have any success with the camping stove.?!

6.14 still no power so we've come out in search of food and light!
