My little backyard 
friends came in for a visit.
I sat by my door

I managed to be up before the sun, but just barely. Coffee was essential this morning. I might just remain in my pajamas all day. 

I took my mug outside to have a look around the yard for visiting birds. I was delighted to find a mockingbird in my orange tree. He doesn't have anything to say so far. The sparrows are always in abundance. There was a lot of bird song and chatter, thanks to them. On the next street, I spied a mourning dove atop a flagpole. Not so good for the flag below I would think. 

I'm home for the day and it will be a lazy one. I will pull out my collection of postcards and see if I can get some out in the mail tomorrow. Postcrossing has been one of my interests for several years. I love finding a postcard in the mail.
