On a Roll

Fifth consecutive (different) butterfly blip! - no, not going to do a bird-style challenge but it might be fun to see if I can keep it up for a little bit longer.
Took Pete with me today on my little Patch Wander. It's probably less than an hour's round trip so I've decided that I will try and do it once a week when we are at home, and record what I see. Today was definitely a mammal-rich day. I saw stoat at the far end, and as we returned, we saw a couple of brown hares in the field very close to the house. Even though we have moved a relatively short distance, it's amazing just how different the local wildlife is. From badgers and foxes to hedgehogs and hares! From dippers and long-tailed tits to curlews and kestrels!
Other sightings of note today were pied wagtails, swallows, gatekeepers, small tortoiseshells, (and some caterpillars) ringlet, meadow brown, green-veined white (as blipped) earthballs and field scabious.
