AA rescue

Sian has a college friend who was coming to Budleigh Salterton to do a show in the village hall. The McAdo, music by Gilbert and Sullivan with a few caustic rewrites. We set off despite the weather warnings and did really well until we heard an ominous clunking sound from under the van! We kept driving with the warning lights on and managed to get to BS for the matinee. It was great fun and full of energy. On the way back to the van we ordered a Chinese take away and then phoned the AA. It took ages for them to respond but we didn’t have to wait too long before a lovely chap arrived.

He managed to secure the bar which holds up the water tank so that we could drive back to Plymouth safely. Most people had heeded the warnings about the weather so not too much traffic on the roads. Glad to be home in one piece!
