Carol Concert

Just to be awkward we chose not to sing in the Edinburgh Clic Sargent concert but to attend the Glasgow one. The reason was that, at the Come and Sing on 26th October, I met one of the choir members and she told me about how they were organised (no obligatory purchases of tickets...) and one or two of the pieces on their programme. These were particular favourites that we never sing in our own choir.

Taking note of the yellow weather warning, we donned waterproofs, picked up umbrellas and caught the bus to Buchanan Street bus station, which is just a step away from the venue, the  Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Everything was super and we enjoyed ourselves greatly, managed to catch the bus home straight away .

The only thing missing was the carol that we went to hear - it was not on the programme. So if anyone's planning to sing Sure On This Shining Night by Morten Lauridsen, do let me know, I'll come and listen.
