Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Florid!

I was only very briefly over the threshold today. Rather nice not to have a huge list of 'hufties'.
Colin's cousin came for coffee and a blister this morning. She's the same age as we are and is cousin, friend and former colleague which is rather nice .
After lunch I decided to do some Christmas cards, I think I got about 5 done which was not the success I'd hoped for. They are usually all done by this time of the month.
I did some more mundane but very satisfactory tasks such as getting all the crumbs out of one of the children's car seatsand generally giving it a good clean. It looked so much better.
We had a ready made curry for dinner which I had picked up in Costco the other day. I like Raita with my curry and had run out of yogurt so a quick jaunt to Tesco was called for, my outing for the day
After dinner we played bridge online with the St Andrews folks. It was a good evening, very amiable. One of the players is very good and positively gets a bit grumpy when others amongst us make mistakes. Not tonight though.
My EB is the vase of flowers I picked up half price almost three weeks ago. I revived then at the start of the week but they are definitely past their best now. Their colours were just right for the dining room , I love the green chrysanthemums in particular.
