#pizzathursday
I was early getting to Lidl this morning, just before 9. Seems that Christmas has made things a bit busier than usual.
It's been a gap of 2 weeks since I last did the weekly shop. Took a paracetemol before going, which helped a bit. Once there I was getting some fruit and veg and went back to my trolley, which had been moved, further down the aisle from where I had left it. A woman was moving it, so I said to her "that was my trolley". She looked a bit horrified and insisted over and over again that she hadn't moved it, even if I wasn't agressive or argumentative. So I replied a few times "no worries". I think people sadly have got used to confrontation of a more agressive sort and automatically go on the *over* defensive.
Anyway no harm done.
At the tills the girl at the checkout let someone by me as I was loading, as they only had 4 articles. Then he had to disappear to get a replacement of something. While I was continuing to load, another guy turned up with just a few articles so I said "Allez y Monsieur" and let him through.
When both departed they each said thank you and the second guy even waved at me to say bonne journée. There's some nice peeps out there sometimes.
After loading stuff from the trolley into my big bags for life, I wheeled everything out to Mega Breadvan in the car park, where there was a constant drizzle. Lovely.
Talking of people, I follow(ed) a channel on Youtube called "Me and Mon Ami". Two gay Brit guys based near Nice in southern France who have adventures in their Nouvel Citroen Ami. Occasionally I leave a comment on their videos about "sans permis" vehicles. Last night I left one with some advice about insurance and why these vehicles (like Mega Breadvan) are basic. It wasn't a short comment, but I felt it had useful info.
Went onto their channel this morning and they'd deleted my comment!
I unsubscribed... They've lost my support. Bonne continuation à eux!
