Big day
We were picked up from our accommodation by our Son in Law and driven to Central Station where we boarded the XPT service. Had just enough time to get a coffee before it left. We went about 500 metres and stopped for 20 minutes. I was wondering if the train had mechanical problems. We arrived at Strathfield to collect more passengers and waited for another 20 minutes. Apparently the first stoppage was a signals failure and the second was a passenger disturbance. The train made up a bit of time and we walked home from the Bathurst station by 11.30am. I did a grocery order and unpacked, nice to be out of the coastal humidity.
This evening I met up with some old workmates, some I hadn’t seen since I left work. All health professionals including nurses, diabetes educators, endocrinologist, dietitian, physiotherapist, pharmacist and nurse practitioner (and me retired). It was pleasant sitting outside for our meal.
Now it’s late and I realised I hadn’t thought of taking any photos all day, so my latest book will have to suffice. I just started this one on the train as I finished the other on the way to Sydney.
