Elf on the Shelf

I saw this photo posted today on the Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs Facebook page and it really made me laugh on a higher chronic pain day.

They are who I undertook my online training with the summer before last, including my Naloxone training. One of the best things I have ever studied.

The last couple of days I have been resting and trying to get over the chest infection which is finally shifting. My fibromyalgia has been incredibly flared up by both that, stress and the incredibly wet weather we’ve had here.

I have caught up with texts, messages and emails today and listened to my body by having a rest day. I am doing a lot of inner work on myself at present and one of the key ones is learning not to pour from an empty cup.

Pacing is key with fibromyalgia and I am still learning after all these years to pace myself. Good days and bad days. I can be very hard on myself as I am an utter perfectionist.

One of my challenges for December, my birthday month, is undertaking a paced walking challenge in aid of Alcohol Change UK.

The chest infection has set me back a bit but I will be undertaking this going forward and managed to clock up almost 4,000 steps one day since the month commenced despite the chest infection and fibromyalgia flare up.

If you would like to support me in my challenge, it would be much appreciated. I will be posting regular photographic updates of my progress and step counts.

Playing catch up with Blip comments and stars tomorrow, thanks for those received over the past couple of days whilst I recover from the chest infection. Last antibiotic taken! :)
