Our first plein air jaunt
of the season played well and
 we enjoyed ourselves

Coffee was my usual before sunrise, then I waited to leave the house at 9:30 for the drive to West Wetlands Park. Our plein group was to meet by the pond at 10:00. Today, we were a merry group of 7. 

The weather was stellar with no wind and bright sunshine. We gathered around the pond at different points, each pursuing a painting in our chosen medium. Conversation and laughter is essential. 

I was surprised to find it was suddenly 1:30 and I was getting hungry. After our good-byes, I drove off to my favourite hamburger restaurant for a take-out lunch, then zoomed home. 

In two weeks time we will gather again with the same purpose. Meanwhile, I need some practice with my watercolor.
