DNFs - mainly a geocaching maintenance trip
I went to check on one of my multi caches which had 2 DNFs on it (Did Not Find logs) by experienced cachers. One cacher has found more than 28,000 caches and the other more than 11,000 so I thought my cache was most likely to have gone missing.
However, as you can see, in the photo, it was still there.
To be fair it had been pushed a bit further in so was not easily spotted in dull weather and also not easy to retrieve if you have short or arthritic fingers but I don't think they can have looked very well or perhaps they had the wrong numbers (ie worked out the final stage wrong).
Anyway I was glad to find it still there. Being so pleased I forgot to check if the log in it is still OK! I am presuming it will be as there have not been all that many finders since it was popped in there.
Had a bit of a walk - set off to walk to town but Terry was passing me en-route and he picked me up after about half a mile and dropped me off near to town. Walked to the cache and then into the town centre, had a visit to Card Factory, lingered by Womble In looking at the cooked chickens, cooked turkey, many sliced cooked meats, hotpots and other mouth-watering delights before deciding not to buy anything and walking to Asda for a couple of bits. Went to catch the bus home from the stop about quarter of a mile from Asda but it wasn't due so I walked on a stop and waited for it. I was struggling on the uphill drag as the damp, misty, cold weather seems to be really affecting my chest today. The bus was late as usual!
