Today is cold, 5c but feels like 2c. It is a weather I like very much. I am trying to get my housework done in the morning, so the afternoon is freed up for a walk, crocheting and reading.
The collage of CutWood shows some of the very old birch, beech and oak trees. The Petre family, bless them, gifted the park and woodland to the residents of Rishton many years ago.The park is Green Flag and maintained well by the Hyndburn Council. The squirrels love this habitat and they are friendly, unless a dog decides to chase them. Then the squirrels run very fast up a tall tree.
I posted all our Christmas cards this morning. I wasn't expecting the deep emotions I experienced as I put them in a very full post box. It was like sorrow for missing them and love and concern for them. A bit overwhelming. I find Christmas a challenging time, I miss my Dad and Mum so much, but I think it is a lovely celebration of our Saviour 's birth. People, no matter what their suffering, are touched by all the Christmas kindness, charity and joy.
Take care blip friends and thank you for visiting my site today.
