Blue Ice

Today held such promise. Ice had built up against the shore and, with a stiff breeze blowing, pools of water encroached on the ice making wonderful curves.

I tried to combine different areas, each with their own texture, and shot from a high angle to capture the shapes. It was challenging however, to find a viewpoint that made the most of it, not least because it was icy underfoot. My shadow was another issue, with the sun behind me.
