Berries

The weight of water on the leaves and berries made this branch hang low over the path as I walked to church this morning. I've never noticed them before. I thought I'd better get a shot of something at the start of a busy day.

We had one of The Man's friend's coming to spend the evening and night with us. He hasn't visited us for over 40 years. He and his wife were frequent visitors before that.

Anyhow. It turned out he is a keen bir-watcher so I had quite a few blips to show him of interesting birds, not to mention red squirrels in our garden. It turned out that we also have solving puzzles in common. He's introduced me to the NYT Connections game - that's a tricky one! I sent him to bed with The CCHQ Puzzle Book.
