Got Organised For Christmas

The last Usher Hall Get Organised organ concert of the year included the University singers, here shown as they arrived on the stage, with conductor Calum Robertson to the right and John Kitchen to the left.

(I had hoped to show them at the end of the concert but we were all standing after the last carol and a tall man's head hid some of the singers - I spent over half an hour trying to clone him out but the lovely red gowns proved too much of a challenge to replicate).

But  we did enjoy the concert; a programme of a nice mix of the familiar, the brand new (When Christ Was Born of Mary Free, by Magnus Graham) and particularly lovely (Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen) and three audience-participation carols, interspersed with organ pieces by John Kitchen, kept an almost-full auditorium entertained.

As usual we shared coffee and cake afterwards with Pleach and Mr Pleach before we all headed off for our buses before the schools simultaneously disgorged their multitude of pupils.
