Hard to believe that it's the first day of December!  Where has this year gone?!?

We got out this afternoon for a rather nice walk at Jacobsburg State park.  There are so many trails at this park that we haven't explored so today we chose a new one for our walk.  It was lovely.  

And we encountered several people with their pooches ... see Extra #2 for one such dog.  I hadn't realized that the dog was wet until after I was viewing on my laptop!  Which means he/she and his/her companion were swimming in the very cold creek!  Brrrrr!

I've also added into Extra (I have several to use before the end of the year) another shot from my time on the deck earlier in the day.  This beautiful female red-bellied woodpecker is a frequent visitor to our feeders.  Sorry to have to include said feeder in the shot ... but I didn't have a choice to do otherwise.
