Close to meltdown ……
Our pre-flight day is total madness. There’s a photography show at our local camera shop with all the major brands represented. Of course it’s full of people I know from camera club etc, so there’s a fair bit of chatting - and I buy a new wide angle lens!
I also pick up prints, mount them and take them to the club chair ready for a competition on January.
Then there’s a concert - a local choir performing a rock version of The Messiah - excellent and my blip today.
In between there’s the manic final packing. I’m close to melt down as I look at all the packing cubes of clothes and meds wondering just how they will fit into our now three cases.
At 11.30 we have a text from our driver telling us his car has broken down so he won’t be able to pick us up at 5.00am. It’s too late to try for an alternative, do G says he’ll drive - I book Meet and Greet and pay the cost of two months parking!
G goes to bed and I continue to work a the packing conundrum, eventually managing to fit everything in and eventually get to bed at 1.45, setting the alarm for 4.00……I think we’re getting too old for this travelling lark!
I thin’ you’ll understand why I’ve had so little time for Blip!
