Lili meets a snow leopard
Today’s another hospital visit - this time in Liverpool. It’s the results of the breast biopsy, and unsurprisingly once more they reveal no malignancy - thankfully. The consultant is hopeful that the proposed Methotrexate will help - once I come back from our adventure.
I also have a phone call to say the polyp removed a few weeks ago showed nothing sinister but I’ll require another colonoscopy in six months - oh joy!
It’s then over to Meols to meet up with Daniel, Solveig and Lili to go to the Chester Zoo Lantern Parade. It’s partly the usual light show - pretty but predictable, but what makes it different are the illuminated animal installations. Most memorable, however, are the lit-from-within puppets, beautifully and emphatically manipulated by their almost invisible puppeteers. There are snow leopards, meerkats, red pandas and peacocks, amazingly realistic in their movements and we’re so impressed at the way they interact with the smallest of visitors. Lili is entranced.
It’s a pity that the forecast rain falls just as we are visiting, but we don’t allow it to dampen our spirits!
The hardest thing is saying good bye to our gorgeous Lili - she’ll have changed so much in two months.
