End of..

I thought when I went out briefly today that it feels very much like the end of not just summer but autumn too.  Even the rose hips are going squashy, the trees are bare, and as for the extra - well you do see these later than most of their kin, but the fact it was so unlooked for it seemed to underline that this is the wrong time of year!  Actually I saw one about 5 years ago on New Year's Day.  It was hibernating behind a strip light above a shop window and suddenly decided it was time to come out for a fly round!

That's all from me for today.  I'm beginning to feel like I'm living through a never-ending mathematical equation, so on blip at least I will try to keep things simple.
