Brompton
One of the joys of wandering around London is the chance encounters with colourful or otherwise interesting sights, like this small row of shops, near West Brompton Tube station.
Today after a morning stroll around Brompton Cemetery, where we easily found Emmeline Pankhurst's grave, we visited the Wallace Collection in Manchester Square. The most famous exhibit there is The Laughing Cavalier by Frans Hals - which may have a bit of a smirk but doesn't seem to me to be laughing.
Then, after a delicious Lebanese meal, we went to the Wigmore Hall for a concert of Telemann's music by soloists from the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra. Sublime.
