A Cold Day

We awoke to more snow showers and frigid temps. It was 19°F with a windchill of -2°F. We chose to stay snuggled close to the fireplace most of the day. My sister and I watched the birds swarm to the feeders to get energized. The titmice seemed to prefer this feeder that we sat on the ledge. They are one of my favorite birds. The chickadees also stopped by but were too fast for me to photograph. We washed laundry and my sister vacuumed and put the boys’ bedrooms back in order. I addressed my Christmas cards; all they need are the letter that we’ll have printed when we get home. It feels great to check tasks off the Christmas to do list. Our BIL watched football and we read. We got a notice that some of the roads were ice covered last night. We chose to go to Mass tomorrow. We still have loads of leftovers so dinner will be easy. Wishing you an enjoyable weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “It is growing cold. Winter is putting footsteps in the meadow.” - Roman Payne
