Silver Birch

A bright sunny start to the day - and less cold than recent mornings! Out on my walk with Oreo, we passed this rather lovely silver birch tree still hanging on to some leaves and I just liked the golden glow.

I would have included more of the lower part of the tree - but there is a ‘building site’ portaloo in front of it - the property has recently been converted from stables into a residence! I recently blipped the temporary mobile home leaving the site…I wonder when the ‘inconvenience’ will be collected!

I also photographed a rather badly damaged tree - it has lost a few big branches in recent years…see extra. The warm sunlight and blue sky sold it for me!

Our daughter and family arrived safely in Lapland - their flight from Manchester was at 05:30 this morning! The granddaughters are very excited! It is very cold there (-13C) but there is not a lot of snow at the moment…

The dogs have had a similarly lazy day to yesterday…they do like a nice relax on the sofa, something they can’t do at home as the lounge is gated off!!
