Quadricephalus

A piece of sandstone with four carved heads. It dates from c.300-600 CE and was found in Abernethy. It now resides in Perth Museum. Pictish in Perth. 

This was my first visit to the museum since its refurbishment and I had a really enjoyable time. I was with Blipper Winsford who guided me round the exhibits. The first thing we did, after coffee, was visit the Stone of Destiny which is elegantly and imaginatively displayed. We then wandered round the galleries and rooms enjoying the variety. After lunch we parted company with plans to go to the Art Gallery before the end of February. A lovely outing.
