See The Lights

Evening all.

Once again apologies for not being up to speed with your journals but the internet is killing me both financially and from a connectivity point of view.

This is the fifth go i had at uploading this photo and i've only got about 57 mins credit left, so god knows if it will ever see the light of day.

I've spared you another monkey picture (sort of) and bring you number 1 daughter in her element, snorkelling off a reef somewhere in the Indian Ocean.

I can't be more specific than that as itys been a bit of a Kenyan magical mystery tour type of day. our guide/driver told us it would take about an hour to the boat, arrived 2 and a half hours later, hot and dusty and driven through some of the unbelievable areas of poverty and deprivation i've seen.

Then got on the boat which bobbed our bellies up and down with an ocean swell designed to baffle and nauseate you.

Then had a couple of hours fantastic snorkelling over a reef, although the big fish didn't put in an appearance, and also fighting a treacherous current which threw us to all parts of the sea.

Then off to a desert island place where they laid on dinner (and toilets too...thank god ),
then a return journey of short boat trip,

then incident filed taxi back to the hotel, negotiating two cows run over by a truck, pot holes that shook your fillings loose, and a makeshift road block by some youths after some money, and a stop and arguement at a "council" checkpoint where our guide seemed to have forgotten the relevant papaerwork and rowed with them for ages about a new fee they had introduced......

love it love it love it, memories aplenty stocking up along with the grey hairs and anxiety attacks this trip is producing....i'll need a hollday soon!
