Bright Light

The days this week are flying past and I don’t get nearly as much done each day as I anticipate. Any how, today started frosty and bright and it felt such a delight to be outside observing the effects of the light on the frosty landscape and the sky. I walked Merlin again early this afternoon to try to make the most of the sunshine as the light fades quickly at this time of year. Much to his disgust, he requires a thorough wash when we return as the meadow is now very wet and muddy.

Early this afternoon I had a long chat on the phone with Steve (who was Mum’s partner). It was good to catch-up on his news and plans for next year.

Also today I booked onto a one day gardening training course which will take place in January. It’s focussed on pruning - of shrubs, and fruit bushes and trees. Hopefully I’ll be able to put some of the knowledge and skills I learn into practice at the allotment.

Hoping your day has gone smoothly.
