Morning glow
Very, very cold again this morning. A sparkle on the pavements but no ice on the way up to the St Ives Estate for our early walk but I did keep my gloves on for most of the walk.
We were accompanied by a lovely glow in the sky all of the way heralding another glorious sunny blue sky day.
Here we are crossing the field, crisp frost under foot and heading towards that great light and sky. When we leave the field we follow the lane that skirts the first and last hole on the golf course towards the club house, the extra sows the sun just cresting the horizon with a lone golfer at the first tee just before 8.00 am.
There was a lovely reflection on the pond as it rose higher but I blipped that last week. Only a small patch of ice this week so much more freedom for the birds to feed. A good walk again.
I’m just back from helping put up the church Christmas tree. It’s a new one we got in the post Christmas sale last year and it looks good. Advent is nearly upon us!
