Warning - a self-indulgent blip record of my recent pain experience. I wanted to memo it for my benefit - you may find of interest too.

Tuesday we had our second web Language of Pain book club meeting - thought provoking as before. "Perceptions of Pain" was lots of pictures representing how people with chronic pain felt - with words to explain their experience. Many varied explanations, again illustrating how different everyone's experience is how dynamic pain can be.

Ill feelings was incredibly interesting talking about the history of Chronic Pain/ME referencing Virgina Wolf and Florence Nightingale experiences and quotes. It was a bit too intense for many of our group, and it did evoke some emotion from me.

Tuesday night joined the EarthSongs singing group for the first time in a while. Really enjoyed it, and managed to sing with less muscle spasming than before (I think) so very pleased with that.

Yesterday (Wed) I had a long video chat with a fibromyalgia sufferer from Northern Ireland I'd not spoke to for a couple of years. We're going to make it a regular thing.

I've had sharp pain pulsing down my left tricep since we had our local CoP a week ago. I felt nothing lifting chairs at the top, and the pain is not related to lifting anything or any movement now - it's purely random. Saw an MSK physio today who gave me some exercises to hopefully heal it. He thought it was linked to a left shoulder rotator cuff injury from an awkward bike fall a few years ago. He may well be right but whichever way it's a very odd type of pain. My existing stock of Tramadol has helped a lot - unlike "usual" chronic pain.
