Stir-up Sunday
..aka the feast of Christ the King; it's the Sunday before advent. As well as a biblical link it is also associated with making a Christmas pudding (in good time to mature for xmas).

Tonight's evensong was the perfect end to a very peaceful weekend. The very modern word-looping style hymn below was beautiful, incense a plenty and we all joined a procession into the nave from the quire whilst singing at the end. Some cleric collars made by the church sewing guild were also blessed with holy water prior to being used.
