Boat talk

I went and washed the topsides of the boat. Which would have been much more satisfying if dirty dribbles hadn’t continued, well, dribbling, from various hidden parts.
Still, I got a blether with PL, seen here in gnomish posture, discussing possible dredging work. I’m afraid that the club is split between dredging and anti-dredging; are yacht clubs naturally schismatic? I fear the ones that aren’t prefaced "Royal" may well be. If it wasn’t for the shortage of spare ground around the place I imagine all manner of renegade groupings would form and I strongly suspect PL would constitute a dissenting band of his own, complete with his three boats.
