The view from an Uber boat

I've lived in London for 51 years but I am still exploring!  At the moment it is the East End that interests me the most.  This morning I went by train/tube to Canada Water and explored Surrey Quays.  Greenland Dock (London's oldest dock 1695) is a huge expanse of water, full of swans, geese, cormorants and coots.  I watched a dozen or so cormorants diving and bringing up fish generally about 15cm long.  One came up with a fish about 35cm long, which needless to say fought free and escaped!  The Dock opens into the Thames opposite Canary Wharf and I caught an Uber boat back to Bankside.  It was fun retracing my recent walks with JodB and Maurice1948 at much greater speed and comfort!
