Community Library

The Community Library is open on the morning of the second and fourth Tuesday of every month (alternating with Lunch Club) and it is a very enjoyable social event because, as well as choosing books from a wide selection, folk sit and chat over a cup of coffee (or tea) and enjoy some of the lovely home baking provided by the volunteers who run the library. Usually I just have a coffee but today I was tempted by a meringue because I knew who had made them and she produces the most exquisite ones!
It was a beautiful calm and sunny day so in the afternoon Nick, Bertie and I went over to the Community Orchard to do some jobs. I enjoyed trimming, bending and shaping this year’s fresh growth of the willow labyrinth.
