Trees on the west side of the park
Visibility was limited this morning due to light drizzle. Storm Bert is still lingering, bringing with it a strong breeze. The drizzle eventually relents, giving way to a sunny spell during the initial part of our morning walk. However, a brief rain shower appears just as we are walking into the wind. Being the tail end of Storm Bert, the rain stings the face a bit. It is a relief to reach the turning point, where we no longer have to hold our hoods up, and the rain stops. The photo was taken on the home leg, looking towards Comiston House. When viewed full screen, the house can be seen through the trees.
After work, the sun has already set. The last of the sunlight lingers until we reach Braidburn Valley Park. As we return home, darkness sets in, and by the last part of our journey, it is night time.
