Sweep

Since we have lived here we have had the chimney swept regularly by a guy who seemed to to do it efficiently. Fortunately he is now retired so will not be upset when. . .

. . . we get this guy in. He is amazing. Hi tech chimney sweeping. A chain that cleans the liner, a camera that examines the interior and sends messages to a computer screen. And not a bit of soot anywhere. Gordon watched the whole process, fascinated.

And so good to meet such a skilled chap, happy in his work, happy to talk about it. I suppose in the end, when there are no longer any chimneys, sweeps won’t be needed. But this sweep won’t be out of work, he has so many skills and will adapt no problem.

Isn’t it great to meet people like this.
