In other news, following davetherave1947's comment yesterday I have looked into it and I think it may well have been a spider that attacked me! The worst thing is, I now remember that I first felt an impossible-to-ignore itch on the top of my foot at work on Tuesday afternoon...which suggests the perpetrator resides and remains at large in my office!! This is doing my arachnophobia no good whatsoever and I'm going to have to look for another job.
