Marjorie's ramblings

Geoff being subtle!

Tonight it was Geoff’s turn to present “Out of My Print Box” at the Tynedale Photography Group. He showed us various panels of his work. He has an excellent and varied portfolio.

Earlier her showed us a set of six images of the backs of flowers. They looked like evening dresses and he had reduced the colour. Subtle. Oh yes!

This panel was taken when he and Sandys were staying in a small village in Italy and were surprised by this light show. He had only his mobile phone to take these images and found that he could not take the images without his shadow being there. He worked on placing himself I the images!

Not subtle, but great fun.

I spent this morning with Margret, arriving in time for the consultant ward round. He has asked for visitors to be kept to a minimum so that she can rest. She was very drowsy and I sat and knitted quietly, helping her to drink when she felt able to.

Tonight she has a fever and has started on antibiotics.

Mark drove from Macclesfield and is now her main visitor while I slip away for a short holiday.

I did slip over to see two new neighbours, one in Margaret and Brian’s house, now Karen and Ian’s house and the other in Judith’s old house, now Vicky’s house. We had good chats. Vicky had heard that I knit and presented me with a bag of gorgeous baby yarn in merino and cotton. What a delight.
