A Shock To The Heart, Aylesford
We just decided to have a quieter day today and go on a very local safari down to the village. We had a really pleasant shock yesterday when we learnt that our lovely local pub, The Chequers, had re-opened under new management after a number of months so, of course, we had to pop in to see what it was like! Reassuringly, it was still very familiar and had just had a lick of paint and some new furniture. The barman and other staff were really welcoming so we will definitely become regular visitors - the bonus being that we can walk down to it (it's less than a mile from home) whenever we feel like it.
The winter light was again beautiful today but I chose to capture the defibrillator which has been installed in what used to be the phone box. I loved the vibrant colours and deep shadows so there was my image for the day.
