The top of the tree

I was in the study this morning when I saw this crow  perched at the very top of a tall tree on the ridge at the edge  our garden ,  just above  the loch.

It was too good an image to miss, which will explain ( to those who noticed ) why I switched my camera off for just a minute, as I was on a Zoom call at the time  !

The Nikon comes into its own for such a long distance, detailed shot and fortunately it was charged and sitting on top of the cupboards across from my desk.
