yup - as i suspected when i moved to this condo last year - there are 3 small chokecherry trees out back - all of them are in full fruit, blowing in the wind - a wonder to see - for the most part though - birds are leaving the fruit alone, as are squirrels - making me suspect perhaps that the cherries might not be good for them - they innately are aware of this... smart critters - i'm impressed by that knowledge and grateful, too - how nature knows which plants to stay away from - now that makes for...
