Trees in Fairmilehead Park
A cloudy start to the day, with a dusting of snow outside. As the morning wore on, the snow got heavier as Storm Bert rolls in. I go out for a walk after breakfast. The snow is falling rather heavily. Int the park, there is a good 15cm depth of snow. Of course there is no kids football camp, so I manage to get my Saturday blip of the park. Extra show the scene to my left, with lots of sledging occurring.
After coffee, I was quite surprised to see our grocery delivery turned up. Still snowing, the Met Office app is showing that it should have turned to rain.
After lunch it has stopped snowing. Partner and I head out to see if there are any buses, not willing to walk down to Morningside on the snow ice slush mixture. While the tracker is showing a bus is due, none turn up, so we go home. Instead we go for a walk around the park. There is still a very good covering of snow, and several snowmen have appeared. A bit slippery in places, but not too bad.
Quiet evening watching Strictly, The Wheel and the next episode of Apples Never Fall. As the evening wears on, the thaw does set in, and accelerates as the rain arrives. Glad I am inside as it is bucketing down.
