Autumn leaves and catkins !

The beech tree has not lost all its leaves but is already full of catkins (and it is not January but the last week of November !). The weather is so confusing, yesterday it was almost freezing, today it was 16 C ! With huge gusts of wind !

Thanks so much for your entries for Abstract Thursday last week ! I did like the many mono colour entries ! This coming Thursday it's Thanksgiving Day in the USA, I thought we could try for the optional theme of 'gratitude'. How would you make an abstract that conveys gratitude ? The tag will be AT492.
