First Snow
Woke up to sleet this morning, and it was very windy. I also saw the washing, which I had hung out yesterday and then forgotten about due to work taking over my day, being blasted by the elements. There was no point in doing anything about it!
We had a very slow morning. I was going to bake, but had no sugar, so I pottered and did a few chores. BB appeared about 10:30 which is early for him, to tell me his rugby match was off. Not really a surprise, as the pitches must have been frozen all week. He took up residence on the sofa and watched Home Alone 2.
TT had been out and came back with provisions and lunch. We tried to persuade BB to go for a haircut, but failed. He did however want to go out to look in a couple of shops as it’s R’s birthday today, and he hasn’t bought her anything. We braved the slush, and had a walk down town. He/I bought a wee extra, and agreed that I would pick up something in Edinburgh for her, when we are there tomorrow. We had a quick walk by the river, then the supermarket, then home. TT was cooking when we got back, and I headed straight back out to get the rest of my steps.
TT had a drink waiting on me when I got back, and BB was watching rugby. Tea was lovely, there was then more rugby and Slow Horses.
There was only a covering of snow, and very wet snow at that, the quickly became slush. It’s much milder, so it didn’t last.
