Slaw
It's funny how we get stuck into food ruts. Blipper Sheilwill was pondering over this a couple of days ago. And her journal spurred me into looking through my cookbooks for different things to do with the brassicas I picked yesterday.
In one of them I rediscovered Bert Greene's dill and ginger slaw. I had forgotten how utterly delicious it is and cannot imagine why it's been so long.
And thanks to the comments yesterday I also made a pot of cauliflower, coconut, and chickpea curry; half of which I've diluted and whizzed into soup.
There is still a cauli and a cabbage to process. Tomorrow.
The art card designs are as complete as they are going to be. They will now dry for a few days before I mount them on board, ready to post on Friday.
And I finally got into the tunnel house and have cleared the bed that the sweetcorn will go into (also tomorrow I hope). It is being thoroughly watered as I type this.
I have been flat tack since 6am: busier than for quite a while. I have been milk-collector, dog-walker, cook, artist and gardener today ;-)
I really wanted to get the main lawn mown before knock-off, but at 4.30pm I ran out of puff. I have come to a halt, other than doing a bit of cheese business, and thinking about supper. Oh, and feeding Bean of course...not that she'll let me forget her!
