Chorlton Memories
What a day!
Spent the morning at the Year 6 leavers assembly for one of the most special classes I've taught. I wasn't sure how they would react or whether some of them would even remember me but I was greeted with such affection. It was wonderful to see them all, just as gorgeous and individual as they ever were but a lot taller!
Then I rushed back to see my sister before she left for her diving trip.
I had the priviledge of meeting Ninny's newest grandaughter, only a week old and absolutely perfect and teeny tiny!
Took a drive to the street where I grew up and checked out our old house. I just sat in the car outside the house for five minutes and remembered...
The rest of the afternoon was spent with one of my oldest school friends for a good old catch up. I forgot how beautiful Chorlton Meadows are at this time of year. Whoever said the city isn't pretty!
I do miss this place but will be glad to get home to Andrew tomorrow.
